Staying Sane

I decided to start blogging for one main reason…my sanity. I am opinionated and sometimes I am even insightful1. I have found myself being somewhat introverted on twitter. I think it’s because I don’t want to take ten tweets to make a point. It defeats the purpose of twitter right?

I have also found myself writing more and more for my business2. We are in the age where content is king and regardless of what your business does, you have to pump out content. Like most things, I want to get better at writing. What better way to improve than practice? Right Allen Iverson ? I actually hate practice too. But I do like a good old scrimmage. I consider this blog a scrimmage since it is live. What is “practice” writing anyway? A journal?

I actually like writing more than I dislike it. The hardest part is getting started. I am hoping by dumping things that go through my mind here, it will getting me in a writing groove for work. The writing is the easy part but it’s the thought development I find hard sometimes. I have found it easier in the past year, though. I am sure many people will roll their eyes but since starting a Paleo/Primal Lifestyle I have found my thoughts clearer, my body stronger3 and my sleep better. This blog is a depository for some of those extra thoughts.

What is the “theme” of this blog? Sports? Technology? Productivity? We’ll see where it goes but I am sure there will be a little bit of each of those.

  1. More of the former I am sure  ↩

  2. Something I never realized I would be doing  ↩

  3. CrossFit also has a lot to do with the strength  ↩
